Grades 7 & 8
From Mr. Grunewald:
I love teaching middle school students at our school and watching as they grow in their knowledge and love for God.
I started off in Ohio, the fourth of five children. My father was the pastor of a mission church in Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio at the time. When I was in second grade, my family moved to Wisconsin when my father accepted a call to a small country church, St. Paul’s Lutheran, near Mount Calvary.
I attended Winnebago Lutheran Academy in Fond du Lac for high school, where I also participated in cross country and track. I graduated from Martin Luther College in New Ulm, Minnesota in 1996 with a Bachelor’s Degree and Synod certification to teach elementary school and high school, with a major in science. In my fifth year of college I was chosen to represent Martin Luther College at the Nobel Peace Conference at Gustavus Adolphus College.
My first call into the teaching ministry was to a WELS school in Milwaukee in 1996 to teach upper grade science and 8th grade along with the duties of athletic director, assistant principal, and coaching.
In 2014 I completed my Wisconsin State Teacher certification for middle school and high school (with a focus in science) at Wisconsin Lutheran College.
I have a love for hiking, fishing, hunting, and the great outdoors and love spending time with my two dogs Remington and Serabi.
