It is an honor and a blessing to teach at a faith-based school like Christ Alone where all subjects are taught in the light of God’s Word. I am committed to inspiring kids to be lifelong learners and to work to the best of their God-given abilities.
A native of Sleepy Eye, Minnesota, I graduated from Minnesota Valley Lutheran High School. Following my graduation from Wisconsin Lutheran College in 2004, I taught English and Bible classes at a WELS mission church in Taichung, Taiwan for two years. I went on to teach in inner-city Milwaukee for two years before becoming a stay-at-home mom. Upon his graduation from seminary, my husband, Joel, was assigned to be a pastor in Tallahassee, Florida, and I became a homeschool educator for our four children, Jude, Eli, Rachel, and Isaiah. During our homeschool years, I enjoyed teaching all subjects in Pre-K through 7th grade to my own children and to other children in our homeschool group. Our family moved from Florida to Wisconsin when my husband accepted a call to serve as a professor at Wisconsin Lutheran Seminary. I have been blessed to have the opportunity to teach at Christ Alone since 2022.
When I’m not teaching kids, you can find me perusing the library, attending book club, setting out on a travel adventure with my family, and attempting to grow a garden.
