Rev. Don Scheuerlein

Pastor

From Rev. Scheuerlein:

Raised in Bay City, Michigan, I spent the majority of my life in Wisconsin. A graduate of Michigan Lutheran Seminary in Saginaw, Michigan (one of the Wisconsin Synod’s two preparatory high schools) I received a Bachelors Degree from Northwestern College in Watertown, Wisconsin and two master degrees from Wisconsin Lutheran Seminary in Mequon, Wisconsin.

My first call after Wisconsin Lutheran Seminary was back to Michigan Lutheran Seminary to teach religion and serve as an assistant to the dean.  My third year there I filled the role of acting-dean for one year.  I was then called to St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in New Ulm, Minnesota where I served as an associate pastor focused on youth ministry and outreach.  In 1989 I was called to serve at Calvary Lutheran Church (now Christ Alone) in Thiensville, Wisconsin.

I married my wife Amy nee Henrich in 1980.  We have been blessed with seven children and twelve grandchildren.  Hobbies are not in short supply as I enjoy sports, camping, hunting and fishing, woodworking and a list of other activities.

Being a pastor and serving the Lord and his people has been a lifelong desire for which I give thanks for the privilege the Lord has given me in living out my dream.

For it is by grace that you are saved through faith.  And this is not of yourselves.  It is the gift of God not of works, so that no one can boast.
